With the Pattonville varsity soccer regular season games coming to an end, junior Kendall Battle said she and the team are ready to take on the postseason.

With an incredible record of 17-4 and being second in their conference, the team has a great chance of going pretty far in the postseason tournament.

The team is led by its captains Lauren Griffin, Rachael Vitale, Kendall Battle and the strong presence of the six freshman that have stepped up in big ways this season to make huge impacts on the field and contribute to the team’s success.

“We’ve been taking the season game-by-game and just trying to improve from game-to-game,” junior co-captian Battle said. “We have a really strong team this year that works really well together, which is part of why we are probably so successful this year and I think that if we keep playing the way we’ve been playing and give 110 percent in the games, then we will have a really successful postseason and our success will transfer over from the regular season.”

Varsity soccer is wrapping up their regular season this week with a game against Fort Zumwalt South and will start the post-season next week where they hope to go really far.
