Junior year can be stressful as you get ready to start your final year of high school. With preparing to leave the past four years behind and moving up to college, there are multiple things to get ready for.
College is one of the most important milestones in life, but at Pattonville High School, there are many classes that are available to take to help figure out what you’d like to do.
Junior Madison Pearia plans on going to college to become an EMT.
“I am taking classes to prepare me for that and I’m going on ride alongs with real EMTs.”
St. Louis Community College is going to help her achieve her goal.
“I have been thinking about becoming an EMT for a while now,” she said. “It’s not much schooling and you get to save lives.”
At Pattonville, there are countless opportunities for students to figure out what they would really enjoy to do for a career. Talking to the college counselor, taking college trips, taking college course classes, and more help students prepare.
“I’ve met with Ms. Luraschi before and she really helped me out,” Pearia said. “I’m taking the opportunities to start planning my future now.”
