Bowling is striking its way into Pattonville
September 27, 2018
The Pattonville Bowling Club returns to action this season with a new coach.
Former football coach Mr. Darrell Langston inherits the position previously held by Mr. James Dalton.
“Mr. Dalton was no longer able to be the bowling coach and a friend asked me if I wanted to become the bowling coach,” Langston said.
He recommends any and all students to join the bowling club because it “is a sport that’s very competitive, but at the same time, the mindset is to be consistent and improve.”
Langston enjoys the game of bowling since it’s “very relaxing” and “because of the handicapped system, someone who isn’t good could beat a player that is really good.”
During the 9-month long season, the club practices at Kingpin Lanes. The bowling center is a club sponsor as well.
For competitions, they play in the Suburban North High School Conference and have the tournaments on Sundays around the St. Louis area including Florissant, St. Charles and Creve Coeur.
If a student has some spare time, they can talk to Mr. Langston about joining the Bowling Club.
