Aliza Ahmed has played tennis at Pattonville for 4 years. As the regular season ends and districts begin, I asked her some questions about the season:

Q: How has this year of tennis been for you and the other seniors?

Ahmed: “It’s been a pretty good year. We changed District alignments so we’ve had a better season since we play against teams that have the similar playing ability as us. We’re more evenly matched against our opponents.”

Q: How has tennis been for you for your past years?

Ahmed: “It’s been exciting, but super competitive. I did learn a lot by playing against high-level players and I think that the matches in the past year really got me ready for this season.”

Q: How do you feel now that the season is ending soon?

Ahmed: “Well, considering the regular season has already ended, I’m really sad about it. I really liked playing tennis with all the girls and I’m really gonna miss it all.”

The Districts tournament began on Monday, Oct. 1, and the Districts tournament for individual matches will begin on Friday Oct. 5.
