The road back to State starts this Friday

Pattonville finished the regular season with a 7-2 record, and will begin the MSHSAA Class 6 football playoffs this Friday at home against Marquette.
“We’ve been grinding all summer to make a lasting impression on future generations to come, to aspire to live up to the legacy we have left imprinted here at our school and throughout the community,” Micheal Pirrie said.
After beating school rival Ritenour 34-7 on Oct. 19 in the final regular season game of the year, the Pirates won back-to-back Conference championships for just the second time in school history.
The road to state led the Pirates all the way to the Class 5 championship game in 2017, and after that journey ended with a 36-35 loss to Staley High School, senior Chandler Mann said he learned what he needs to do differently in order to make sure the results are in his favor this time around.
“I’ve been putting in a lot of hours of hard work and I’ve dedicated myself to become more of a leader for my team,” he said. “Getting a ring for my senior year would complete my high school football experience.”
The road starts Friday, Oct. 26, against No. 6 Marquette (6-3). The game kicks off at 7 p.m. against the Pirates. The game will be live streamed on PattonvilleTODAY.com/LIVE and Facebook.com/PattonvilleTODAY
