In a 4-1 win against Northwest (Cedar Hill) on Oct. 25, Louie Perez scored a hat trick and broke the school’s record of most goals in a single season. In the 2018 campaign, he now has 32 goals. The previous record of 29 was set in 2008.

“I feel great about it and I couldn’t have done it without my teammates,” Perez said.

Overall, the team has 58 goals this season with a season high of 10 goals scored in games against Fox and Affton.

Now that the regular season is over, the focus turns to single-elimination action.

“We had a rough start to the season, but over time we got better through hard work,” Perez said.

Going into the postseason with a record of 11-10, Pattonville will play Francis Howell North (7-12) at 6:30 p.m. tonight in the semifinals of the Class 4 District 2 tournament at DeSmet.  The game is the second match-up of the night as DeSmet (17-3-2) plays Hazelwood West (14-9-1) at 4:30 p.m.

The winner of both games will advance to the championship game on Nov. 1 at 6 p.m.
