Dr. Jon Fitzgerald wins High School Assistant Principal of the Year award from SASSP
April 11, 2019
Dr. Jon Fitzgerald was surprised on April 11 for his selection as the region’s High School Assistant Principal of the Year by the St. Louis Association of Secondary School Principals. The St. Louis region covers about 70 different school districts and private schools.
Fitzgerald serves the Pattonville School District as the POSITIVE School principal and a high school assistant principal at Pattonville High School in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
At the banquet held at noon in B104, several people were in the room to celebrate this achievement.
Three students (Yasaman Mostafavi, Samuel Vaclavik, and William Polster) were on hand to be interviewed about Fitzgerald’s performance and character. In addition to these students, some of Fitzgerald’s colleagues also filmed interviews. These interviews will be a part of Fitzgerald’s application for the Missouri (and potentially National) award.
