Seniors of Pattonville have already encountered a series of changes. In addition to every new aspect of the school, there were some modifications regarding the senior photo.
Before Senior Picture Day on Oct. 2, the Class of 2013 Students were originally told that the group photo would be taken on the outdoor bleachers of the football stadium during first hour.
This event was postponed and moved to the gym because the sky conditions weren’t at the best standards for the photo and since it was the coldest morning in a while.
“I wasn’t really upset with this,” said senior Kynesha Carey. “It was really cold outside, and I didn’t come prepared with a jacket (to go outside).”
This fact upset some students, while others were glad that their picture wasn’t taken outside in the dark and cold weather conditions. Some seniors were also upset with the fact that the Wagner photographer came late, and that the group of 372 students felt rushed to have the photo taken.
“Besides this, everything went well,” said Senior Chad Lashley. “Everyone was listening, which made it a lot easier to get a good shot in.”
The senior picture is an important memory item for the Class of 2013 to reflect on after their final year of the school.
With the picture costing money, instead of being given for free, it was imperative that seniors wanted the group photo process to go smooth. The seniors took a formal and a funny photo and have an option of purchasing either one.
“It brings back a lot of memories when you’re older and it gives you something to look back and reminisce on your senior year.” explained Carey.
