Sports Weekend Recap

Kyle Webb

The Rams 17-14 loss yesterday against the Miami Dolphins came down to the rookie kicker Greg Zuerlein. He needed to kick a 66-yard field goal to tie the game as time expired but it went wide left, along with two other field goals he attempted earlier in the day. Zuerlein has been perfect on the season with field goals attempted but missed three during the game that was played outside in the rain and wind.

The Rams outplayed the Dolphins statistically. The Rams picked up 462 total yards while the Dolphins only collected a mere 192.

“You can’t win if you can’t score” Jamie Webb said while watching the game.

On the bright side of St. Louis sports, the Cardinals won the first game in the NLCS against the Giants 6-4.

By the 4th inning the Cards built a comfortable 6-0 lead and kept the hot Giants down to only 7 hits in the game.

Game 2 will be tonight at 7 p.m. Central Time,  It should be a pitching battle with Chris Carpenter against Ryan Vogelsong. The game will be aired on FOX.
