Robert O’Keefe is one of Pattonville High School’s newest English teachers, as well as the newest
addition to the staff of the freshman boys soccer team. O’Keefe is a Pattonville graduate, and this
2025-2026 school year will be his 10th year teaching.
What made you switch from your old school to Pattonville?
“Not to talk about my old school too much, but they didn’t have very high expectations. I
really loved the kids, but I didn’t think we were doing the best as a school. Knowing that
Pattonville does have high expectations and the future of kids in mind, I think that there’s a good
balance.”
What do you like most about teaching?
“The kids. I love interacting with
people, teaching things that I like, whether it’s soccer, English, reading or writing, and the ability
to connect on things that I love with other people.”
