Leslie Thompson is the newest secretary to associate principal Gene Grimshaw. Thompson is a Pattonville graduate and was a teacher at Hazelwood before this position.

Why did you decide to come to Pattonville High School?
“I am a former graduate of Pattonville High School. I went to Remington Elementary and then Heights, then I graduated from here in 1986. I retired after 25 years in Hazelwood School District and then came out of retirement when this position became available, ’cause why not come home?”
What impact would you like to make here?
“My goal is always to one, do my job efficiently, and that helps the staff and students. Two, I’m really excited that I get to work with seniors because that’s my background that I came from in Hazelwood. Moving young adults onto the next level of their life and being a part of that is awesome. The impact I want to make is to make sure that when you guys graduate, you know what you’re doing and where you’re headed.”
What are you most excited for this year?
“Just being a part of Pattonville again. I’m super happy to be here. I have been welcomed by all staff and students. Getting to know the kids has been awesome. I just want to be a part of the team.”
