The “Red Out” was a fundraiser for the American Heart Association during the boy’s basketball game on February 10.
The way the fundraiser worked was that at the basketball game that night, people who bought a “Red Out” T-shirt got into the game for free and the money that they spent on on the T-shirts went to the American Heart Association.
At the home basketball game, the Pattonville varsity boys played against Hazelwood West. About 700 people attended this game. Although Pattonville lost the game 35-27, the fundraiser was very successful.
“I think this fundraiser is very important,” sophomore Kim Edwards said. “I think that it is a really good idea that even though this is a competition, we are teaming up for a very good cause.”
