Each year 10 staff members in the Pattonville School District are recognized for the Pride of Pattonville Award. This award is intended for staff who have have shown excellent performance, service, character, and have made significant contributions in the Pattonville community.
Four of the 10 members selected for the award this year are from Pattonville High School. Katie Funderburk, Beth Kathriner, Rick Lehman and Jamie Richter were awarded this morning, April 12. These staff members were welcomed and congratulated by students and other faculty members, receiving a balloon and a jar of candy.
The complete list of district awardees include:
- Katie Funderburk, English teacher and varsity drill team coach at Pattonville High School
- Sarah Funderburk, district technology specialist at Willow Brook and Rose Acres elementary schools
- Julie Harder, library media specialist at Pattonville Heights Middle School
- Bob Heitert, DARE officer from the Maryland Heights Police Department
- Beth Kathriner, art teacher at Pattonville High School
- Rick Lehman, special education teacher at Pattonville High School and announcer at Pattonville athletics
- Jackie McClain, paraprofessional and PTO president at Drummond Elementary School
- Jamie Richter, instructional technology specialist at Pattonville High School
- Dr. Marla Wasserman, principal at Briar Crest Elementary School
- Carole Williamson, nurse at Parkwood Elementary School
All recipients are invited to Appreciation Night on May 6, where they will be presented with their award.
