Welcome to PattonvilleTODAY, the online news site of Pattonville High School, sponsored by the journalism department. This site is produced by students enrolled in Pirate Press, and is intended to provide information and engage in open and respectful dialogue that is appropriate to the educational environment and readers of all ages.
PattonvilleTODAY is the official publication of news and information published and produced by Pattonville High School journalism staff members. Journalistic integrity is of the utmost importance and we will dedicate ourselves to the accurate and objective dissemination of information to all readers. We will provide news, insightful analysis, and entertainment and will uphold a professional code of journalism ethics by maintaining truth, accuracy, and objectivity. We will protect and exercise our First Amendment rights, not only for our own benefit, but for the benefit of all high school journalists past, present, and future.
In 2021, PattonvilleTODAY earned its first Distinguished Sites recognition under the leadership of editors-in-chief Matthew Jacobi and Ava Bearskin. PattonvilleTODAY received its second Distinguished Sites recognition in 2022 under the same leadership. In 2022, Pirate Press, PattonvilleTODAY’s print newspaper, received First Class status from the National Scholastic Press Association.
