If a student has any problems with their laptop, a visit to F218 during any time of the school day might be necessary. There, they will be helped by a teacher that specializes in technology.
They could even be helped by another student.
The iLearn help desk is now in a new location.
When iLearn was created last year, it was in a smaller location, but it moved to F218 because the instructors wanted to have more space and wanted a chance to build better relationships with the students they were helping.
“We really wanted to have a more personal connection with our students,” Mr. Travis Harder, the technology specialist, said. “We didn’t want to just talk to them through a little window.”
The iLearn Center is open and ready to help students from 7 a.m. to to 2:30 p.m. every day.
The iLearn Center is home to Harder as well as Mr. Ray Braun and Mr. Jamie Richter.
Students also have a chance to help out in the Center by signing up for the iLearn Help Desk class or by coming in whenever they are free. Any student is eligible to help and community service hours can be earned by the work they do.
“We’d love to have anyone interested in technology or helping out come in and work with us,” Harder said. “We’re always looking for new helpers, wanna sign up?”
