Apple announces new line of iPhones

Apple introduced its new iPhones along with other new products during an event on Sept. 12.

The iPhone 8 has an all-glass screen, a powerful chip for the device, and features what it calls the world’s most popular camera. It is also water and dust resistant.

The iPhone X has an all-glass screen but has no dedicated home button. The phone is so intelligent that it can respond to your voice, tap, or even a glance. Instead of having a home button, a single swipe will take a user to the home screen from any app they are on, and the phone itself is made of stainless steel.

Jon Chapman said new features are pretty cool like having a face ID so no one can get into your phone and thinks the new cameras are nice because they can take away the backlight and it’d be really good with editing.

Senior Brendan Hilligoss said he likes the changes and they make the phone very advanced.

“I like not having the home button because it makes room for other things on the screen.”

Some students are not impressed with the new phones enough in order to feel like they have to get the latest version.

“I think it’s a waste of money because I’m fine with my 6s Plus” junior Kodi Pliner said.
