Advanced Placement Test schedule forces some students to return to school for exam
Advanced Placement (AP) tests allow students to get a jumpstart on earning college credit. A variety of classes for sophomores, juniors, and seniors are offered at Pattonville High School. AP tests are graded on a 5-point scale, and most colleges accept credit for a score of 3 or better. A student can earn from 2 to 6 credit hours. All AP exams will be held at the high school this year.
There are still nine more days that tests are offered. With finals and AP tests, some students may be struggling to manage time and stress.
“It can be hard studying for an AP test and all of my finals; I also have to manage clubs and prior commitments,” senior Maria Vincent said.
This is one of the first years that some AP exams will take place during summer. Calculus, Computer Science A, Statistics, World History, and European History will all take place after seniors leave on May 14.
