The sound of music will be coming from the Pattonville auditorium on Wednesday, Oct. 28, when the Pattonville High School orchestra performs its first concert of the school year at 7 p.m.
In spirit of the holidays, some of the orchestra students will be wearing a Halloween costume while performing during the concert.
The Fall Concert will have performances by the high school’s String Orchestra, Concert Orchestra, and Chamber Orchestra.
Before the performances, the orchestra will host a chili tasting fundraiser in the school’s cafeteria from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. Every item was made by students or their parents.
“Everything for sale is $1,” director of orchestras Mr. Michael Dunsmoor said in an email to the staff of Pattonville.
Hot dogs, 3 ounce cups of chili, bake sale item(s), and drinks will all be available for just four quarters.
“After our concert, join us at Dairy Queen [on Dorsett and McKelvey] until 10 p.m. for yet another fundraiser,” Dunsmoor added.
In order for Pattonville to receive the funds from the fundraiser at Dairy Queen, purchases must be made from 4 to 10 p.m. and the flyer must be shown.
