Sophomore Sarah Cradick is a member of the varsity softball team for PHS. This is her second year on the team, but her 7th year playing softball.
Cradick plays 3rd base and said that the team is off to a great start this year with a record so far of 6-4.
In order to prepare for the fall season, Cradick participated in a summer team and gets batting lessons to keep her on her game.
“One of my favorite softball memories happened just last week when I dove for a ball and threw a girl out from third on my butt,” Cradick said.
The Pirate’s next game is Thursday, Sept. 12 at home when Cradick and the rest of the varsity team will be playing Hazelwood West.
