On their homecoming night, Pattonville faced off against Hazelwood Central High School in a tense and thrilling game.

Heading into the game, the tensions were high and this was a game that both teams wanted to win badly.

“This is an important game for us mainly because it’s our homecoming night and no one wants to lose on their homecoming night,” senior Caleb Speech said.

In the first half, the score was fairly even, but the pirates had made some errors they knew they had to clean up in order to win the game.

“We played well in the first half but we knew we had to play better or else we would lose,” senior Daniel Davis said.

The pirates came out in the first half ready to try and take this game away, but it slipped out of their hands. The score ended up being 32-15 and the pirates took a tough loss on their home turf.

“We fought and played hard and even though we didn’t get a win we still have to keep moving forward and try to keep improving,” Davis said.
