It is quite an unusual winter for St. Louis. Neither snow, nor low temperatures, with temperatures of up to 60 degrees, and that at the beginning of February. Last year at this time, the ground was covered by a few inches of snow. Without the blanket of snow on the ground, it means no sledding, snowboarding or snowball wars outside.
But it does not mean it is a bad winter.
For the Pattonville students it will mean they will get out of school about one week earlier than originally planned if there are no snow days. In addition, nobody has had to go outside in the morning and have to chip ice or brush snow off their car.
People are wearing shorts and going for runs in the afternoon. So now that the snow stayed out this year, let’s take the benefits of it, and get ready for an even better spring.
