The Math Club is for students who want to do activities that relate to the world of mathematics.
Members connect to the world outside of school by looking at real-world problems and developing good problem-solving strategies.
The club gets to meet math clubs from other schools by competing against each other. The club sponsor, Mr. David DeMoss, noted, “We go to competitions and contests and compete individually and as a group.”
The activities that go on in the club are seasonal, but do not last all year. However, changes are always possible. “I don’t think we currently have anything planned for the rest of the year,” said DeMoss.
Every year, new students gain interest in joining the Math Club. DeMoss said if students are interested in joining the club, they should come talk to him or send him an email for more information.
