Thanksgiving Break begins on Nov. 23 and many students spend time with friends and family on the days off of school. I went around and asked students what their plans are for the holiday break.
Ethan Holtgrieve (12): “I’m having Thanksgiving dinner with my mom and my grandma, and then I’m having a bigger Thanksgiving dinner with my dad’s side of the family. We also are celebrating my grandma’s birthday, and probably going to play some card games.”
Daniel Jenner (10): “On Thanksgiving Day, I’m having a large family gathering and dinner with one side of my family at my grandparent’s house. Over the weekend, I’m going to my other grandparent’s house for another family Thanksgiving dinner.”
Elise Tompkins (9): “I’m going down to my grandparent’s house by Lake Perry with my aunts, uncles, and cousins, who I don’t get to see that often, so that will be fun. We’re going to play lots of card games, have a fishing competition, and eat a lot. I’m probably going to take a nap while my family watches the football and basketball games. And of course we are going to go Black Friday shopping.”
Jordyn Nagelvoort (12): “I’m hanging out with friends and going to see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them on Wednesday. I work on Thursday at Wehrenberg Theaters. Then on Friday, I’m going to Virginia to have Thanksgiving with my dad’s side of the family. After we have dinner, we’re all going to play football in my grandparent’s backyard, which is always so much fun because my grandpa plays with us and he plays better than most of us.”
