They all auditioned in the fall and now it’s almost time for curtain call for the 2017 musical Curtains.
There are many people in both the cast and crew who help put on a magnificent show, including senior Karrie Henderson.
“This was my first year auditioning for the musical,” Henderson said. “I was expecting to get a chorus role and I was fine with that, but when I looked at the cast list, I saw my name listed as the role of Jessica Cranshaw.”
A lot of people are afraid to audition for the musical because they are afraid that they won’t have time to do homework or for friends.
“Anyone could join the musical. You just have to be willing to pull late nights to make sure you get that English paper done,” Henderson said. “For the friend aspect of this, my close friends are in the musical anyway, but as far as meeting new people, I have. I wouldn’t call them friends quite yet. More like acquaintances. They know of me now, and that is the first step on the long journey of friendship.”
If you would like to see Henderson in Curtains, the show will be performed at the Pattonville High School Auditorium Feb. 16-19:
- Thursday, Feb. 16 – 7 p.m.
- Friday, Feb. 17 – 7 p.m.
