Attendees visiting the Exhibit Hall get to be hands-on with new technologies available for use in the classroom. Some of the booths are more interactive than others.
Ms. Janet King brought her 8th graders from Ascension School in Chesterfield, Missouri to the Midwest Educational Technology Community’s (METC) 2017 conference in St. Charles, Missouri. They attended on Feb. 14 because they had entered the Student Innovation SHOWcase: Show-Me A Movie where they had to create a 2-minute long video.
Students were presenting their video, and got the chance to play with new technologically-advanced toys in the METC Playkerspace, and having a hands-on approach on being creative.
They used cups, straws, pins, and tape among many other things to create anything they could think of in order to learn about a topic.
