SLIDESHOW Pattonville varsity football defeated by Hazelwood Central in overtime

Pattonville’s varsity football team lost in overtime at Hazelwood Central on Saturday, Sept. 30, by a score of 33-27. This brings the Pirates to .500 on the season with a record of 3-3 with two regular season games remaining.

The game was tied 13-13 at the half and 27-27 by the end of the fourth quarter.

On the final play in regulation, quarterback Kaleb Eleby tossed a Hail Mary to the end zone that was intercepted and forced overtime.

Pattonville got the ball first and Eleby was picked off, ending the Pirates drive.

Hazelwood Central (6-1) got the ball and scored a touchdown on its first possession.

Pattonville will play at home against rivals Ritenour on Friday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. for senior night, and conclude the season on Friday, Oct. 13, against Parkway North in its Homecoming game.
