Finals begin on Dec. 15 and they can be stressful and difficult for students. Here are some study tips and good habits to get ready for your tests:

  1. Get enough sleep and eat good all week. It’s common for people to skip meals during finals due to studying. Always keep good sleeping habits. You need to go to sleep a little earlier to let your brain rest and get prepared for a long, stressful exam.
  2. Ask questions in every class and don’t be afraid to ask for help when you don’t understand a subject.
  3. Study with friends and people in your class because maybe they need your help and you need their help.
  4. Start studying early in the week and never say you will do it later. Just do it now!
  5. Take breaks throughout your study sessions to rejuvenate your brain and drink lots of water.
  6. Create a study schedule and prioritize that time. Don’t ever waste time.
  7. Make multiple study guides and quiz yourself and have people quiz you. It is always important to fully understand the material you are learning and being quizzed on.
  8. Make time to meet with your teachers to see if they can give you any tips or helpful strategies.
  9. Make your studying fun. Once you complete your studying for the day, give yourself a little prize to keep going and stay strong.
  10. Stay focused while taking your test and never stress. Just stay cool and confident!
