While people are working out, Paula Lucido is working.
Lucido is a senior at Pattonville High School and works at Blast Fitness, which is not a job that appeals to most people.
More than one-third of American adults are overweight or obese, but Lucido takes action in helping those who are eager to get in shape.
Lucido has only been working at Blast Fitness for a few days, but plans on working there for, at least, the next two years. She works 21.5 hours a week and plans on spending the money she earns on a car.
“I like the atmosphere and the people who work there,” she said.
The easiest task she has been asked to do was collect all the checks in one pile, while the hardest task she has had to do was answer the phone while checking five people in all at once.
