Breaking News: PSD Announces Mrs. Ashford as New High School Principal
After Dr. Joe Dobrinic retires at the end of the school year, Mrs. Teisha Ashford will take the title of PHS principal. Mrs. Ashford’s first day in her new role will be July 1, 2021.

During the Pattonville Board of Education meeting on January 12, Pattonville approved Mrs. Teisha Ashford as the new Pattonville High School principal effective July 1, 2021.
Mrs. Ashford currently serves as Director of Student Services for the district.
She also has had other roles in the district, including:
- Science teacher at Pattonville High School
- Principal of Holman Middle School
- Science teacher at Holman Middle School
- Assistant principal at Heights Middle School
Mrs. Ashford has a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in educational leadership and policy studies. She obtained both degrees from University of Missouri-St. Louis.
She is also a candidate this year for a specialist’s degree in educational leadership, and a doctorate in educational leadership and policy studies.
Dr. Pecoraro, Pattonville superintendent, states, “She will do an excellent job building strong relationships with our students, staff and families and continuing to lead PHS on the path of academic excellence. Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Ashford to her new role.”
Dr. Dobrinic, the current PHS principal, will retire at the end of the 2020-2021 school year.
