After a point-winning kill, Zach Noles is congratulated by his teammates. The Varsity Boys’ Volleyball Team is currently undefeated, with a 28-0 record.

While many teams in 2021 faced difficulties, the Pattonville Boys’ Varsity Volleyball team did not. Rather, their record made history.
Standing undefeated at 28-0, they won their last guaranteed match against Fort Zumwalt North on May 13. The last year off due to Covid-19 did not stop them from training for an historic season.
On and off the court, the boys are around most of the players, many of the boys all played for the same club.
Quentin Bartlett, the libero on the varsity team, said, “One of the best things that helped me prepare for this season was the club volleyball season right beforehand,” which he said definitely paid off for this team.
To achieve the perfect record that the team currently has comes with a lot of responsibilities, including long practices and early tournaments.
The team’s hard work mentality and their awareness of each other’s strengths and weaknesses show on court, but their effort also reflects their dedication to the new coach, Jenell Franken. The boys are entering District finals on Wednesday, May 18, against Eureka at Pattonville High School.
