In their match with Parkway North, Macy Hanford putts her final stroke. They went on to lose 265 to 246.

The girls’ golf team is made up of all new players this season.
Coach Gross explained that the sport is extremely individualized and not many schools have teams competing so there isn’t much rivalry. His main goal for this year and what he feels will make a successful season is the girls having fun and having them come back for next year’s season.
The players feel the same. “My goals for this season are to just overall improve as a player and just get used to my swings and putts with it being my first year,” said senior Macy Hanford.
In addition to individual goals, the players also maintain a sense of team. “My [team] goals are for us to have fun, use this as an outlet for school and become better players than we were at the beginning of the season.” said Macy Hanford.
