As the weather gets warmer, it’s a signal that spring sports like girls soccer, boys volleyball, water polo, and track are going to start! As student-athletes, we need to be prepared for tryouts, which kick off on March 3rd. This means being ready physically and emotionally, and making sure we have the right paperwork in order to try out on day one.
To start off you’ll need to get a physical examination. They are usually good for one school year! Then you’ll need to have created a Healthy Roster account, incoming freshmen were sent an email in March of last year to set up their account. Now, if you are a transfer student, you’ll need to email our Athletic Trainer, Alex Hubbs. I will leave his email address down below. Next, it’s important to make sure that our previous semester grades are good enough for us to try out, so check your grades. We are student athletes, which means student comes first. You will need a minimum of 3.0 units of credits from the preceding semester of attendance in order to be eligible. Last but not least, tryouts are starting up next week. Make sure you have all the needed equipment and gear. Reach out to any coaches if you have any questions and remember to check out all the social media pages for dates and times!
The athletic trainer’s email is @ahubbs.psdr3.org. Alex is super helpful and is open to answering any questions you might have! Check out the contact information for our spring head coaches below!
