Percy Jackson fans can breathe a sigh of relief. The Mark of Athena, Rick Riordan’s third book in the Heroes of Olympus series, is finally here.
Percy and Annabeth haven’t seen each other since The Last Olympian, the final book in the Percy Jackson & the Olympians Series. They reunite and immediately run into a problem. Accompanied by five other demigods, they must take an interesting trip to pursue the Mark of Athena while avoiding a war with their Roman brethren.
In the book, there’s humor, mushy-gushy love stuff, action, adventure, and pain. Riordan doesn’t disappoint with his funny characters and his modern take on Greek and Roman mythology.
The book is 580 pages long, but every bit of it is entertaining.
Although the book is not yet available at the Pattonville library, students can check out the other Rick Riordan books. Along with his Percy Jackson & the Olympians and The Heroes of Olympus series, the library also offers the Kane Chronicles, a trilogy about Egyptian mythology.
