I was able to get a few words with Brooke Lashley about why she likes cheerleading and gymnastics, and some other stuff about the two sports she plays. Brooke is a sophomore at Pattonville High School and is on the cheerleading squad, but outside of school she also does gymnastics. I was able to ask her a few questions about the two sports she plays.
Q: “What is it like to be a cheerleader and a gymnast?”
A: “It’s very hard with school work and keeping my grades up, but it’s fun though because I get to travel a lot.”
Q: “Which sport do you like better and why?”
A: “Cheerleading, because it’s a lot less stressful and the competitions are more fun.”
Q: “What do you do as a gymnast?”
A: “I do vault, bars, beam and floor.”
Q: “Do you ever think you are going to make a career out of these sports?”
A: “No, but I plan on getting a scholarship and doing one of them in college.”
Q: “What do you like about being a cheerleader and why?”
A: “It gets me involved in school, I get to hang out with the girls, and I get to cheer at the games.”
Q: “What made you want to be a cheerleader?”
A: “The reason why I wanted to be a cheerleader is because it keeps me involved in school and it forces me to keep my grades up.”
Q: “What is your favorite and least favorite thing to do as a cheerleader?”
A: “My least favorite thing to do is to do chants, my favorite thing to do is stunting.”
