SLIDESHOW VDT alumnae perform at 40th anniversary of Variety Show

Four decades of Varsity Drill Team came together for one night only at the 40th Annual Variety Show on March 14.

Nine dancers from the 70s, 20 from the 80s, 33 from the 80s and 44 dancers from the 2000s reunited on stage for a special performance. This was all made possible by reconnecting over Facebook.

Former coaches Alice Powell (1973-81), Diane Guitar (1981-2002), Amie Bemke and Stacy Knop (2003-2007), Sarah Delaney and Tiffany Loness (2007-2008) and Katie Funderburk (2008-present) also performed.

This year, two girls are continuing the legacy of performing on VDT. JoAnn Greenwell (1986, Katie Greenwell) and Jackie Stockton Hamil (1979, Christi Hamil) both have daughters that are graduating from Pattonville in 2015.

Right before intermission, the Varsity Drill Team alumnae performed on Friday night only a show titled “VDT 4 Life.”
