Over the years at Pattonville, the cheerleading program has grown dramatically. While fans may be watching the game, Taylor McGhee is flipping down below, cheering for the team.
McGhee has been a cheerleader at Pattonville High School for 3 years. She’s captain of the varsity cheerleading squad, a part of PALS and involved in STUCO.
It used to be that no underclassmen were allowed on varsity, but McGhee wouldn’t stand for less. She was the first underclassman ever to make varsity cheer her sophomore year.
McGhee said, “I was really excited and felt honored to make the squad.” Ever since McGhee made the team, underclassmen have been making the squad as well.
McGhee has not only done something she is so proud of, but made it possible for all underclassmen to be a varsity cheerleader.
“I want to be remembered as a leader and very involved in school.”
