Theater is more than singing, makeup, and costumes. It’s also an outlet to some people. When you’re on stage, you can be whoever you want to be.
Maggie Decker has been in theater since she was in seventh grade. And when she got in high school, she just couldn’t wait to join the theater.
Decker is now a junior at Pattonville and she always signs up for the plays and musicals.
The play this year is “And Then There Were None.” Decker plays the role of Blore, which is one of the leads.
“And Then There Were None” is about a group of people that go to an island. The island is called Soldier Island. They get invited to go to this island, but they don’t know that they are invited to get murdered for their past wrongdoings.
During the time of the plays and musicals, Decker has rehearsal every day from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Even though the rehearsals are every day, she said being in the productions are so much fun.
Decker added that the people involved in the performances are awesome, and they always have something fun to do.
“This is a really good play,” Decker said and she encourages everyone to come and watch it.
The performances run from Oct. 17-19 in the Pattonville High School Theater.
