Fall sports information

Pattonville High School is a proud institution, rich in traditions, academics and athletics.  We hope that you choose to become involved in Pattonville High School activities.  There are a wide variety of athletic and activity programs available to our students.  We feel that the values of participation help the student in their primary objective, which is to obtain a quality education.

Grades
ATHLETES, CHEERLEADERS, DRILL TEAM and MSHSAA SPONSORED ACTIVITIES
You must have earned a minimum of 3.0 units of credit and a minimum grade point average of 1.500 (not cumulative GPA) in the preceding semester of attendance.   For the current semester, students must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credited classes totaling 3.0 units of credit.

Physical Exams
A physical exam form is required by MSHSAA (Missouri State High School Activities Association) BEFORE a student can tryout or practice for any activity listed below.  The form used for this exam is available in the Activities Office or download a copy from the high school website at http://phs.psdr3.org/.  Click the green ATHLETICS and ACTIVITIES…then FORMS…then click the form you want to print.  Only one physical exam is required per year and must be administered on or after February 1, 2012.

Physical exam will be held at Advanced Training and Rehab (12232 St. Charles Rock Road in Bridgeton) on July 24 from 4-7 pm.  You must call the PHS Activities Office at 314-213-8058to RSVP.  Cost is $25…make checks payable to Advanced Training and Rehab.

Insurance
The MSHSAA by-laws provide that a student shall not be permitted to practice or compete until Pattonville High School has verification that he/she has basic athletic insurance coverage.

Voluntary Drug Testing Program
All athletes (including cheerleaders and drill team members) and their parents must sign the Pattonville Voluntary Drug Testing Card indicating if they “wish to participate” or “do not wish to participate” in the program.  Each athlete is required to submit one card with signatures each school year.  A description of the Pattonville School District Voluntary Drug Testing Program may be downloaded from the high school website at phs.psdr3.org.

Required Forms
Athletic Physical/Concussion Form and Emergency Card forms can be downloaded from the high school website at phs.psdr3.org.  On the left side of the homepage in green, click on ATHLETICS and ACTIVITIES…then FORMS…then choose each individual form to print.  If your student is chosen to participate on any sport team, cheerleading squad or drill team squad, two additional forms are required…Code for Interscholastic Athletics/Activities and Voluntary Drug Testing.   These two forms will be given to your student by their coach and must be submitted to the Activities Office prior to participation in their first contest.
