At approximately 9:50 a.m. today, students and staff at Pattonville High School evacuated after
a fire alarm triggered by a second-floor E-Wing sensor prompted a fire department response,
though no emergency was found.
As students exited the building and gathered outside, many were unsure what had caused the
sudden disruption.
“I thought someone pulled it, or that one of the FACS kids was burning the building down,” Anna
Reilly (12) said.
Others were more focused on the inconvenience of the situation as they waited to return inside.
“It was raining, so it was kind of annoying standing out there. I just assumed that someone was
cooking something, and it [set] off the alarm,” Mia Nunez (10) said.
