Looking for a good way to get involved with homecoming? Why not help your class build the homecoming float.
The floats will be used for the Homecoming parade that takes place on Saturday Oct. 12 before the football game. Float building begins Wednesday, Oct. 9, and goes to Friday Oct. 11, from 6-9 p.m.
The building will take place in the bus parking lot next to Holman Middle School.
The theme for homecoming this year is “Pirates Around the World” so the floats will be based off of the assigned country to each grade:
Seniors-England
Juniors-Egypt
Sophomores-Mexico
and Freshman-Italy.
The floats will be judged during the parade and the winning class will earn points for their class for Spirit Week.
Sophomore class officer Kristin Barringhaus said, “Hopefully we get lots of people to come out and help, we want our float to be really good this year.”
If you are interested in helping your class build the float, come join them this week to make your class float the best that it can be.
