DECA attends districts

IMG_6016On Tuesday, February 11, DECA members under the direction of Mr. Doug McGhee, Mr. Kelly Thames, and Mrs. Holly Martinez attended DECA Districts at the St. Louis Outlet Mall. DECA members first participated in a 100 question multiple choice test that was specific to their individual or team topic and then went on to the role-play portion of the event. After taking the test and participating in role play, scores were averaged out between the two events and that determined the score. All members who took either first, second, or third (in some events) place in their competition are eligible to attend DECA’s State competition in the Lake of the Ozarks.

The following are the names of Pattonville DECA members who are eligible to attend the State competition:

Sydney Cisero and Nathan Samples- 1st Place in Business Law and Ethics Team Decision Making

Lindsey Purviance and Brendan Schaefer- 1st Place in Marketing Communications Team Decision Making

Tim Vleisides- 1st Place Business Finance

Azim Djuraev- 1st Place Leadership Delegate and 2nd Place Business Services

Connor Klenke- 2nd Place Human Resources

Anastasia Jackson and Lauren Robinson- 2nd Place Travel and Tourism Team Decision Making
