Local college fair serves as critical opportunity for college-bound students

College-bound juniors and seniors are advised to attend the MOACAC I-70 Series College Fair at Maryville University on Sunday, April 27, from 1-3 p.m. At the fair, there will be a wide-array of information regarding a variety of colleges, designed to assist in a student’s search for the fitting college to enroll in.

College Counselor Julie Kampschroeder puts emphasis on the importance of juniors attending, as the end of a student’s junior year is a critical time for deciding on colleges to visit and apply to.

“This is a very busy college fair, and I would not suggest seniors going who haven’t been to a college fair at all,” Kampschroeder said.

Students will have the opportunity to “receive information on different programs offered at schools, scholarships available, explore ways to get in, and build relationships with college representatives,” Kampschroeder said.

As this college fair is not open to the general public, students interested must register for the event online at www.gotocollegefairs.com.

After filling out personal information and completing registration, students are to print out a barcode and bring it with them to the event.
