Pattonville among U.S. News and World Reports Best High Schools

Pattonville was listed among the top high schools in the state and the nation when U.S. News and World Report revealed the 2018 Best High Schools rankings. They assessed over 20,000 schools in the United States with the best schools receiving gold, silver, and bronze medals.

Pattonville earned a silver medal in this year’s list (26 schools total in the state of Missouri) and was ranked No. 28 out of 495 high schools in Missouri, placing it in the Top 6 percent of high schools in the state. Three schools were awarded gold medals and 133 schools received bronze medals.

In the national rankings, the Pirates are No. 2,626 placing it in the Top 13 percent of high schools.

About 71 percent of schools aren’t distributed a medal at all.

This accolade is an indication of Pattonville’s success with test scores on its own and also about exceeding the state of Missouri’s average.

Although Pattonville has earned a spot on the U.S. News Best High Schools list 5 of the past 6 years, this is a new achievement for the high school. The last time they earned a silver medal was 2013.
