Too Cool For School

securedownload

When students wake up in the morning they feel as if they should grab some boots, mittens, and maybe even a parka. Pattonville High School is way too cold, students never get a chance to warm up, and eventually they just become numb.

Sitting in class, students loose their concentration because of how cold it is. They rub their hands together, trying to get them to function more easily, but it doesn’t work. The few students that weren’t prepared for the everyday icebox leave class to go get their jackets. Some students even bring blankets or Snuggies to attempt to fight the cold temperatures. Students go through this every day and nothing is ever fixed.

Kendal Humphries it aggravated as well.

“I wish they would finally turn the air conditioner off, it feels like the North Pole,” Humphries said.

Clearly, something should be done.

The school spent so much money on laptops and TVs. Plus, they rebuilt the stadium and built a new pool.

If the school has this much funds for all these extra toys, then they should surely have enough for a correctly functional heating system.

This isn’t the first year it has been this way either. The school is well aware of the temperature issues and they choose to ignore it.  It is time for something to be done, so the students and staff no longer have to endure this.
