All sports fans have something to enjoy at this time of the year

Around the end of April and the beginning of May, the madness of sports ramps up.

The NBA and NHL playoffs begin. The MLB season is in full swing. And the NFL draft is scheduled where all 32 NFL teams will select a new breed of players from college.

All sports fans alike have something to enjoy at this time of the year as there is intriguing pro sports action happening every night.

Students at Pattonville High School are just as ecstatic about sports madness as anyone.

“I love sports right now, man,” senior Jon Lehmkuhl said. “I follow baseball and hockey really close, and with baseball season going and the Blues in the playoffs, I have something to watch every night.”

Senior Brad Cody thinks sports are awesome right now.

“I watch a lot of baseball, hockey, and football, so I have great games to watch every night,” Cody said. “Also, since I follow college football, I always love to see where the guys that I’ve watched in college go to in the NFL.”

With all of these sports in action at the same time, this is known by sports fans as “sports heaven” but both the NBA and NHL playoffs will be over soon, and after the 3-day event of the NFL draft which is May 8-10, there will be only baseball in action of the four major sports.

Sports fans: Enjoy it while it lasts, because all of this sports goodness will be gone soon.
