Practice ACT test results explained to juniors

Juniors were handed their Practice ACT test results and went to the main gym during Pirate Connections to hear Julie Kampshroeder present information about the test and college.

Kampshroeder told students to take these results seriously and use them to study before taking the actual test.

“Look at the questions you got wrong and then look at the right answer and try to understand why you didn’t get it right the first time,” Kampshroeder said. “You have the questions and the right answers in front of you so don’t ignore this. Use it to get better.”

She also instructed juniors to start scheduling appointments with her to prepare for college.

“On Jan. 4 when we come back to school for the second semester, my focus moves from the Class of 2013 to you guys.”

While the juniors were in the gym during Pirate Connections, other grades were also working on preparing for the future.

Students in 9th grade worked on a Missouri Connections activity, 10th grade students had their PLAN results explained in the auditorium and seniors watched a financial aid video and answered discussion questions via the Moodle.
