About 600 students were given invitations and showed up on time (of course) for the No Tardy Party sponsored by The Pirate Code committee.

Students without any tardies for the semester were rewarded with a party during their lunch periods on Dec. 14 with desserts like hot chocolate, cookies, and brownies.

“The No Tardy Party is held each semester and it’s sponsored by Pirate Code for students with no tardies for this semester,” counselor Ms. Anetra Johnson said. “We had about 600 students this semester that were invited to join us.”

Johnson is one of the group sponsors which consists of counselors, teachers and students that encourages everyone to follow the Pirate Code which is made up of Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Involved.

The Pirate Code group holds events like the No Tardy Party every semester as well as events like the New Student Orientation.
