John Cale (Tatum) is a father determined to impress and please his daughter who he no longer lives with, 11-year-old Emily (Joey King) who is a feisty, stubborn, bold young lady who is obsessed with nothing more than the White House, the president and history of the United States.
Cale reluctant to tell his daughter the bad news that he didn’t get the job takes Emily on a tour of the White House. She is ecstatic and more-than-happy to tour the White House with her dad but the event takes a turn for the worse.
But while on a tour of the White House with his young daughter, a heavily-armed group of paramilitary invaders attack the White House and Cale, a Capitol policeman, is separated from his daughter and completely oblivious to the true reason why the White House is being taken over.
Cale takes his job as a policeman to hear and springs into action to save his child and protect the president.
But does Cale have the skills he’s been equipped with and pass the test as he does his record-best to save his daughter, the president, and the frightened hostages?
Check out White House Down, a movie that definitely earns two thumbs up.
