Small Business Spotlight: Cupcake Fetish

Cupcake Fetish first opened its newer location on February 22, 2020, in Maryland Heights, after they moved from Kirkwood. They currently are located at 2286 McKelvey Blvd., right next to the Maryland Heights Community Center. According to their website, the owner, Yolonda Turner, established Cupcake Fetish in May 2012. The restaurant started off as a home based business then grew to include custom cakes and other assorted sweet treats, and moved to their first location in Old Town Florissant. After doing charity events, wedding showers, and expanding to incorporate business contracts, Cupcake Fetish was able to grow more and move to Maryland Heights where they now have cafe menu items.

Ever since the Coronavirus has made its impact on the St. Louis area, there are several changes that have been made to their restaurant.

Owner Yolonda Turner explained how Cupcake Fetish has been making changes during this time. “We have stopped offering breakfast and lunch on weekdays but still provide it on the weekends. We also have been taking the temperatures of our employees, have limited staff working at certain times, and hand washing stations for our staff.” She also noted, “We are open to dine inside on the weekends and offer carryout on weekdays.”
