Some might say it’s a father-daughter thing. Others might say it’s for couples or just simply for people who like baseball.

On Sept. 21st 2012, an inspirational movie called “Trouble with the Curve” that receives some hits and lots of misses, unfortunately.

“Trouble with the Curve”, starring Clint Eastwood as Gus Lobel had been one of the best baseball scouts for years and years, decades. Even though he tries so hard to hide it, his age is starting to catch up with him, such as his eyes that aren’t like they were long ago. However, the famous baseball scout can tell a pitch just by the crack of the bat. Regardless of his amazing skill, Gus refuses to sit on the bench for what might be the final innings of the career he’s completely in love with. The front office of the Atlanta Braves is starting to question his judgment, especially when the country’s hottest batting player is on deck for the draft. Gus may not have any other choice, but to sit with the fans on the sidelines.

However, there is one person who might be able to help him keep his love for being a baseball scout, someone who Gus would have never thought he’d ask. Mickey (Amy Adams), an associate at the high-powered Atlanta law firm and better known as his daughter. Mickey over her fathers objections and Gus against his daughters’ judgment joins her father on his latest scouting trip in North Carolina. Putting her career on hold and even putting it at risk, to save his own.

Now being forced to spend so much time together for the first time in years, father and daughter make new discoveries, such as revealing long-held secrets and truths about their past and present that could result to change their future as well.

Along the way Mickey finds her falling for Johnny (Justin Timberlake), a new scout on the block.

Some might say you might find yourself rooting for Eastwood’s old baseball scout. Others might say not only did he lose his fastball, but also his mind. However, Eastwood’s delivery was hilarious and that people love his squinty-eyes.

“Trouble with the Curve” is out now on theaters, so go check it out.
